Parent Notification and Rights

Families are notified in writing when their child qualifies for Multilingual Learner services. The notification includes information about their child’s assessment results, program placement, and how multilingual services will support their child’s English language development and academic success.

Notification letters are provided in English and, to the extent possible, in the family’s home language. Families are encouraged to ask questions and partner with the school throughout their child’s language learning journey.

Parents and guardians have the right to decline multilingual services or withdraw their child from the program at any time by submitting a written request to the school district.
